Azerbaijan, Peru mark 30 years of diplomatic ties with exhibition, commemorative postal issue
Azerbaijan and Peru marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations with a commemorative exhibition and the unveiling of a joint postal card, envelope and special postmark at Peru's Foreign Ministry in Lima.
Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Mexico and concurrently accredited to Peru, Seymur Fataliyev, said bilateral relations had steadily expanded since diplomatic ties were established on June 25, 1996, highlighting progress in political dialogue, parliamentary cooperation, cultural exchanges and coordination in international organizations.
Peru's Deputy Foreign Minister Erik Anderson praised the development of bilateral relations over the past three decades and expressed confidence that political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation would continue to deepen.
The exhibition showcases photographs and archival materials documenting the evolution of Azerbaijan-Peru relations since 1996 and will remain open to visitors for 15 days.
