The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Netherlands participated in the annual “Embassy Festival” organized by the municipality of The Hague. Held under the motto “A World Trip in One Day” at the historic Lange Voorhout square in the city center, the event brought together the rich cultural heritage of peoples from around the world.

The festival, attended by thousands, featured national pavilions from around 60 countries. The Azerbaijan pavilion, with its vibrancy and diversity, became one of the most visited stands of the event. Materials and exhibits showcasing Azerbaijan’s history, culture, and tourism potential - along with carpets, national costumes, and traditional dishes such as plov, dolma, kebab, gutab, and national sweets - attracted significant interest from visitors.

The Mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen, visited the Azerbaijan pavilion and engaged in conversations with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the Netherlands, Mammad Ahmadzade, and other compatriots. He expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijan’s active participation in the festival and praised the country’s rich cultural heritage and traditions of hospitality.

As part of the event’s music program, the Caucasus dance group, composed of Azerbaijanis living in Europe, performed national dances that received enthusiastic applause. Many attendees also joined in performing Azerbaijani dances, including the traditional “Yalli.”

The festival served as an important platform for promoting Azerbaijani culture on the international stage, highlighting the heritage, hospitality, and creative spirit of the Azerbaijani people.
