Azerbaijan and Korea Expand Cooperation on Digital Public Financial Management
A delegation from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a working visit to Seoul, Republic of Korea, from April 12 to 17, 2026. As part of the visit, seminars and training sessions were held to review international best practices in digital public financial management and to explore the application of advanced technological solutions.
During the program, discussions focused on strengthening technical capacity in Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (IFMIS), exploring modern digital treasury solutions, reviewing the functional capabilities of the advanced dBrain+ platform, and developing technical advisory projects. Participants also exchanged views on international experience and innovative technological approaches to the digitalization of public financial control and treasury processes.
It was noted that, within the framework of bilateral cooperation on digital public financial management, and with the support of the Republic of Korea, advisory support is planned for this year for the development of a next-generation treasury information system in Azerbaijan. In parallel, advisory support will be provided for the implementation of the “e-Control” information system to support the digitalization of financial control services. These initiatives aim to enhance transparency in public financial management, strengthen control mechanisms, and expand the capacity for timely and effective decision-making.
The Ministry of Finance considers this initiative an important step toward modernizing the public financial management system, accelerating digital transformation, and strengthening institutional capacity.
