Azerbaijani delegation participates in another session of IAEA General Conference

The 70th Regular Session of the IAEA General Conference was held in Vienna, Austria, bringing together more than 3,000 delegates from 181 member states.

Azerbaijan was represented at the event by a delegation headed by Yusif Nabiyev, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations.

In his remarks, Yusif Nabiyev spoke about the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the IAEA, cooperation within a technical mission to ensure nuclear security during large-scale mass events, efforts to develop legal, regulatory and technical infrastructure, as well as the application of nuclear and isotope technologies in healthcare, agriculture and environmental protection.

The Azerbaijani delegation also held bilateral meetings with IAEA departments and representatives of other countries on the sidelines of the conference.
