Another co-sponsor joins bill in Congress to lift restrictions on assistance to Azerbaijan

A new co-sponsor has joined the bill introduced in the U.S. Congress aiming to lift restrictions on assistance to Azerbaijan.

The co-sponsor, Abraham Hamadeh, is a member of the House of Representatives from Chicago and represents the Republican Party.

The bill titled “Repeal a restriction on assistance to Azerbaijan” was introduced to Congress on December 9, 2025, by Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna.

Under the draft law, Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act is repealed, and the provision referring to that section is removed from the bill’s table of contents.
