September 24, 2026The Caucasus Muslims Office hosted an event dedicated to Remembrance Day, observed annually in Azerbaijan on September 27 to mark the commencement of the 44-day Patriotic War. This commemorative date was instituted by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated December 2, 2020.The event was attended by leaders and representatives of traditional religious denominations in Azerbaijan, clergy, families of martyrs, and veterans of the 44-day Patriotic War. Bishop Alexy of Baku and Azerbaijan addressed the participants at the event.
