Sahiba Gafarova conveys congratulations from president of Azerbaijan to Pope Leo XIV

On May 18, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova took part in the enthronement ceremony of Pope Leo XIV, Report informs referring to the Press and Public Relations Department of the Parliament.
As part of the ceremony, which was attended by heads of state and government, parliamentary chairmen, clergy and prominent public figures, Sahiba Gafarova met with the pontiff and conveyed to him congratulations from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his election as Pope, and also wished him success in his activities.
