Deputy PM announces mutual investment volume between Azerbaijan and Russia

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated that total Russian investments in Azerbaijan amount to $10.7 billion, while Azerbaijani investments in Russia stand at $1.2 billion, as he addressed the 24th meeting of the Azerbaijan–Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Zangilan.

He highlighted the strategic and diversified nature of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister encouraged Russian companies to actively participate in investment projects within the special tax regime operating in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

According to him, Azerbaijan offers exemptions from profit (income), property, land, and simplified taxes, as well as VAT and customs duties on imports, for a period of 10 years in these territories.

He also pointed to several successful Russian investment projects in Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the production of construction materials and pharmaceuticals.
