Azerbaijan's Tourism Potential Showcased in Austria

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated in the AVIAREPS Around the World Roadshow - Austria 2026, held on October 1 in Vienna, Austria. During the event, Azerbaijan was promoted as a premier travel destination, showcasing its cultural tourism, Silk Road heritage, city breaks, adventure, and active outdoor experiences.
The event gathered around 40 travel agents and tour operators. Attendees were briefed on Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, including the tourism potential of Baku and Sheki, the country's Silk Road legacy, as well as its hiking trails and winter tourism infrastructure.
ATB also held one-on-one meetings with leading travel agencies to discuss potential collaboration and explore new avenues for expanding Azerbaijan's market presence in Austria.
Notably, the growing interest of the Austrian market in Azerbaijan is reflected in visitor statistics. In January–August 2026, the number of arrivals from Austria to Azerbaijan increased by 5% compared to the same period in 2025.
