Nearly 15,000 participants from 169 countries registered to attend WUF13, National Coordinator says

“Nearly 15,000 participants from 169 countries have already registered to attend the World Urban Forum (WUF13) scheduled to take place in Baku in May 2026,” Anar Guliyev, Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, and WUF13 National Coordinator, said at a briefing held as part of the 13th Global Baku Forum.

“Approximately 30 percent of participants represent local and regional executive authorities, which underscores the growing role of cities in addressing global urbanization challenges,” Guliyev said.

“The Forum’s official website – WUF13.az – serves as the main information platform for participants, providing details on visa procedures, accommodation, and transportation options. Media representatives play a crucial role in covering the WUF13. Correspondents not only disseminate information about the Forum but also contribute to building global partnerships and promoting new policy initiatives,” the WUF13 National Coordinator noted.

According to him, Baku is fully ready to welcome guests from around the world within the framework of WUF13 in May 2026.
