BHOS hosts Novruz festival

The Novruz festival was held at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS).

In his opening remarks, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov congratulated the university’s students and staff on the holiday and wished them continued success and prosperity.

Emphasizing that this year the Novruz and Ramadan holidays coincided in date, Elmar Gasimov said that “both holidays are being celebrated in Azerbaijan with great enthusiasm, and this is an example of the unity of national and religious values in our society.”

The festival participants then visited the holiday corners prepared by the staff and students and sampled various sweets.

A holiday bonfire was lit at the festival. The students danced Yalli around the bonfire, performed various dances, and engaged in egg-tapping competitions.
