Hikmat Hajiyev: Ilham Aliyev's open response to journalists' questions is important for breaking disinformation front against Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev's open responses to questions from journalists representing more than 50 countries for over two and a half hours is one of the important components of breaking through the disinformation front against Azerbaijan and conveying the truth to the international community, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, told journalists within the framework of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum.

Hajiyev also spoke about the role of Azerbaijani media in this matter:

"Azerbaijani media, supporting the national interests of the country, plays the role of a shield against campaigns and conveys Azerbaijan's objective truths to the international community. Today, the indicators of our media in terms of content creation and production have increased substantially. This applies not only to the Azerbaijani language but also to other languages. Recently, 'fact-check' approaches have been on the rise in our media. Also, approaches from government agencies that identify and expose disinformation have increased substantially. However, this is an endless struggle, and we must always be thoroughly aware of the issues."
